Notice to Customers who are experiencing WiFi drops at their home or office.
It has come to our attention that many customers, specifically in the Rockingham and Augusta County areas have been seeing an increasing in WiFi related issues. Please understand that HighSpeedLink.net can not monitor your home or office WiFi and are not able to know if you are having an issue. We have discovered that specifically 2.4Ghz WiFi is being disrupted for many of our customers by a competitor's extremely high powered 5G system that operates in an adjacent band. We have notified them of this issue and have asked that they turn down the power on their transmitters. We have also reached out to the proper regulatory authority to alert them of this problem.
This problem can make VOIP calls drop, video services like Netflix buffer and in general slow down your internet performance.
We do have a solution to this problem for customers who contact us with this issue. In many cases customer's who have one of our newer WiFi systems can be changed over to 5Ghz WiFi.
